A £2 million government grant to a controversial Mosque has been suspended amid outcry over extremist Islamist statements made by its imams including apparently advocating for stoning women to death for adultery and waging jihad against unbelievers.

Social Investment Business, which initially green-lit £2.2 million in taxpayer money to build a youth centre at the Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre in Birmingham, has blocked the delivery of the grant while investigations are held into allegations of radical rhetoric being spouted in the mosque.

Last month, footage emerged from a sermon from Zakaullah Saleem, the mosque’s head Imam, appearing to show the Sheikh telling worshippers that women found guilty of adultery should be buried in the ground up to their waist in order to “protect her modesty” and then stoned to death, the Mail on Sunday reported.

I think pressure is building from the public to dial back the immigration acceptance and the Islamist terrorism that came with it. Æthelberht of Kent initiated Sanctuary in Churches for all who were subject to arrest. They had 40 days to confess their sins and go into exile or surrender to the Crown for trial. By 1066 this was universal in England. This practice was abolished by James I in 1623.
Churches in UK are not off limits to Johnny Law.

None on both accounts. However, as I state previously, if they cannot come here, abide by our laws, and practice their religion peacefully than they can stay the hell home.

We have a block on immigration from certain Middle Eastern nations, but what good does it do when we have our leaders open the border so wide you can drive a herd of whales through it.

Then UK doesn't value the free speech of the Islamist, they fear the Islamist. They fear that if they make an example of the radicalism, they are afraid of the past coming back and the radicals start cutting heads off in the middle of the street like they did with those soldiers a few years back.

Too much hate out there...........I think of Hillary Clinton and Bill Ayers as the result of the hippy movement...they hated The Man so they became The Man and with a decidedly communist bent. They hated capitalism but they took all the money they could get and still do. Those 2 people have caused untold misery and death. I'll w/hold broad brushing hippies but....grrr

There's too much casual hate on the forum but it's the dialogue of frustration and the need to fix blame for their problems. If people mean the bigoted or vicious things they write, they should have the decency not to write them or find another forum where hate is welcome.



I live in a region almost 70% black; mostly descendants of slaves who didn't leave the south. We have Indians and Mexicans too. A lot of intermarriage all around. If I'm not friends with the people here, I'll have no friends. Why would I want to have no friends? My friends are nice people and are from their 20s to their 90s. I like people but not bigots. That's where I stand.
