Reagan stopped enforcing the anti-trust laws. No one has really done anything about them since.

There is a major problem. How do you break up a major global company? If China says it's fine for Microsoft to dominate the world operating system business what can we do about it. It facebook decides to operate out of the Cayman Islands, using Russian satellites what do we do invade the Cayman Islands. Could a small local bank compete with a large world wide Iranian bank that didn't like the competition. If the Chinese army decides to sell cars world wide can GM and Ford compete with such a government owned business.

Now I'll grant that the US is a huge market but a lot of these global companies are much more powerful then any national government including the US government. They have the money to simply tell the politicians what they want and get it. It is the corporations and not the government that have the money and we all know who has the gold rules.

Is this why you want a global government?

Eventually, we will have global government. The question is does big business impose it to get their way or is it done by the people.

There is only one way we will ever have a one world socialist Nanny State. By a massive iron fist and death tolls in the hundreds of millions if not more. In fact I doubt it can be done without a global nuclear war costing billions of lives. This is the end result you socialists will bring. If the Muslims don't beat you to it.

Unless one of them is at its' head. But this will likely happen long after both of them are gone.

Xi seems to want a global government. He is certainly a global capitalist.

You mean the leader of Communist China, yea of course he is a Capitalist. All the Dictators of socialist, communist shithole countries are Capitalists themselves. It's just the starving people they rule over that are forced to live under Socialist / Communist ideas. You know, like the left's heroes, Castro and Kim Jung for example. They would love Putin too, if they hadn't set him up to be the scapegoat for Hillary's embarrassing loss.
