What does America mean to you

All of us have opinions of what America means to us so lets hear it.

Reagan always made me feel good about America and our freedoms. He did it with his humble nature and his sense of humor. So, here is a piece of history from the man himself.

"What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad."

What does America mean to you

That's very hard for me to put into words. But I did more or less say that I would die for it 5 times in my life. And I still feel that way.

Not too many days go by at my age, that the thought doesn't enter my mind that....damn, what if I had been born in China, or Venezuela, or Syria ? I have been blessed for some reason, to have been born in America.

And when I see people protest anything against our nation, I want them sent immediately to Syria to live for one year and then let them come back here. I bet the protests would just fade away then. JMO

I like my soft toilet paper, good clean drinking water, the colors of my flag, my freedom and my God and family. That's America to me.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

I agree with what you said except the part about letting them come back here after a year. Screw them, let them stay & adapt.

I still feel that way myself and yes it is hard to put into words. It saddens me to see so many who really don't understand the freedoms we have because someone like you was willing to give up a portion of your freedoms so others could enjoy theirs.
