    ??

First, environmental groups have blocked desalination plants in California for years. They would warm the water near the shore.

Second, just Napa and Sonoma Counties are over 2500 square miles, more than double the size of the state of Rhode Island. Parts of Marin, Mendocino and Lake Counties are affected as well.

Blanco went and investigated 3 of the fires. He said there was evidence that the high winds pushed trees into the power lines sparking fires. He showed evidence where trees were scorched sending sparks. While they do clear trees from power lines it's impossible with winds like this bending trees to prevent this type of disaster.

It might be Government organized arson for profit and bailout... the CA economy is dying, and Construction rebuilding jobs...

    Do the math

4500 Structures X $300,000 average per structure X 1.8 loading for Government program administration costs = 2.4 Billion in Rebuilding paid by the rest of the U.S.

And then tack on the costs of the FireFighting, Hotels for the out-of-State first responders, aid to people displaced by lost homes...

Why, they might get $20 Billion!

    Who needs a Hurricane!!?

Not an Exec Office issue. It is FEMA and Congress.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security, initially created by Presidential Reorganization Plan No. 3 of 1978 and implemented by two Executive Orders on April 1, 1979.

Just my opinion but I think they are wrong on the death count and it's much higher. You had people that had to run for their lives not even able to get to their cars, they didn't have time. You could hardly see driving and even roads were on fire. Just think about trying to run out of it. Yes I know some were seen and picked up by passerby's but .................

Yes, created by EOs, but now funded, reviewed, and controlled by Congressional Bills.

Like the FCC, and almost every other Alphabet titled branch of government, it might have started by an EO, but it is now an institution controlled and funded by Congress.

Furthermore, the heads of these agencies are nominated by the Executive branch, but subject to Congressional Review and oversight... unless you're Obama, in which case you just do recess appointments to circumvent the Constitutional requirements for Congressional Oversight.
