A cause to celebrate President Trump's ending of Obama's illegal DACA amnesty program. That means that opponents haven't managed to pass, or keep in place, any new amnesty in the 21st century.

This single action not only turns off one of the biggest magnets, other than jobs, for illegal immigration of the past decade, but signals the return of law and order in the enforcement of America's immigration laws. Trump had a BIG victory, and he deserves to enjoy it.

However, I'm excited that Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions have used this occasion to emphasize the importance of the RAISE Act, which would cut legal immigration by half, eliminating chain migration and the visa lottery. In his DACA announcement, Pres. Trump's call for the RAISE Act was urgent and his reasons plain:

"We must reform our green card system, which now favors low-skilled immigration and puts immense strain on U.S. taxpayers... Under a merit-based system, citizens will enjoy higher employment, rising wages, and a stronger middle class. Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue have introduced the RAISE Act,which would establish this merit-based system and produce lasting gains for the American People."
    -- Pres. Donald J. Trump --September 5, 2017

Atty. Gen. Jeff Session's statement announcing his decision to end DACA stressed that eliminating the program is just one step on the path to fulfilling President Trump's campaign vows to ensure that the immigration system works for, not against, America's working class:

"As a candidate, and now in office, President Trump has offered specific ideas and legislative solutions that will protect American workers, increase wages and salaries, defend our national security, ensure the public safety, and increase the general well-being of the American people. "He has worked closely with many members of Congress, including in the introduction of the RAISE Act, which would produce enormous benefits for our country. This is how our democratic process works."--

The country is waking up to the need to solve the problem of wage stagnation over the past thirty years. I was shocked
to see an op-ed in Bloomberg News, of all places, arguing that employers must compete for U.S. workers, and thus raise wages, rather than rely on guest workers. -- From the Bloomberg article:

"Solving the problem of wage stagnation requires measures that make employers compete for qualified U.S. workers. The current guest worker programs fail this test. Sensible immigration reform is one way to provide a boost to working Americans who need it the most."

Just an insistence of what should be done Constitutionally...

If one uses Executive fiat like Obama did, by usurping the "Separation of Powers Act" and acquiescing to der left (who hates the Constitution) it would be just a matter of time when we would be hoisting the "hammer & sickle" over the white house.

It's no secret that the Congress is a worthless body of miscreants regardless of party; hardly what our founders had in mind. It's all about self-serving aggrandizing over what's good for the country. Trump was right, get rid of the establishment and "Drain the Swamp!"
