    Yeah, this guy is a hoot.

    An anarchist using the U.S. Constitution to further his argument?

    @hoytmonger

    I note that the board is growing with new members, and as I look around I see we are deprived of a regular Anarchist perspective. Please put forth a sustained hard effort to visit more and post more. You have friends here waiting to be made among the new people. Don't let Anarchism go daily unrepresented by you here on this board.

    I truly believe that every posting board needs at least one Anarchist because the entertainment value is simply priceless.

    You are a lucky man, hoytmonger. You have not yet attained peerage with a single serious member of this board, yet they agree to post back and forth with you as if your posts were normal humanistic posts!

    Speaking just for myself here, you have convinced me that:

    (1) anarchism is firmly located deep within the bowels of the Internet's Lunatic Fringe Movements

    (2) anarchism deserves nothing but mockery and ridicule

    (3) anarchism is a mental condition that needs to be listed under Psychopathology

    Change gears . . .

    GLOBALISM

    Since "globalism", or "New World Order", or "One World Order", seems to be on hoytmonger's mind constantly:

    (There's more, but that's enough to make the point.)

    Let's look into this “New World Order” stuff. It simply means any new period of history that shows a dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power.

    But Conspiracy Theorists have twisted it to mean that some sort of sinister global government is working behind the scenes to take over. Indeed, they have twisted the meaning so much that you’ll rarely see the definition as I detailed it in the sentence above.

    Actually, the victors in WWII formed a “New World Order”.

    At one time the phrase referred to nuclear disarmament, then it morphed into German reunification and human rights, then it morphed into a world without Saddam Hussein, then the Conspiracy Theorist took it over.

    Mikhail Gorbachev unwittingly aided the Conspiracy Theorists in a speech he made to the United Nations General Assembly. In it, he advocated strengthening the central role of the United Nations. He said:

    “We are witnessing most profound social change. Whether in the East or the South, the West or the North, hundreds of millions of people, new nations and states, new public movements and ideologies have moved to the forefront of history. Broad-based and frequently turbulent popular movements have given expression, in a multidimensional and contradictory way, to a longing for independence, democracy and social justice. The idea of democratizing the entire world order has become a powerful socio-political force. At the same time, the scientific and technological revolution has turned many economic, food, energy, environmental, information and population problems, which only recently we treated as national or regional ones, into global problems. Thanks to the advances in mass media and means of transportation, the world seems to have become more visible and tangible. International communication has become easier than ever before.”

    The Conspiracy Theorists took that and ran with it.

    Here is an example of an anarchist's crackpot conspiracy theory:

    George H. W. Bush shot John F. Kennedy. And they have proof:

    TAXATION

    Next to conspiracy theories and globalism, taxation is a favorite topic for anarchists.

    Now being a good anarchist, hoytmonger is against ALL taxation:

    I personally appreciate some taxation, for example I like to ride on paved roads, and I am glad we have a military, and I desire to have a government, state and federal, that provides some necessary services. (And, BTW, hoyt, don't try the "slave analogy". It's right out of the anarchist's playbook and . . . wait a minute. Actually, go ahead and try it . . . I'd love to pop that bubble. Looking forward to it . . . )

    I find great personal joy in the thoughts of the federal government and state government using FORCE against you and your anarchist tribe to give you a choice between paying taxes or being incarcerated in prison. Its not morally right for you to drive your car on paved roads that I helped pay for, and to walk on sidewalks that I helped pay for and to live here in America basking in the freedoms that are sustained by the US Military that I was a part of, and then for you NOT to pay taxes to fund all that. If you refused I'd applaud and cheer as the police handcuffed you, read you your rights, took you down town and put you in the graybar hotel, followed by a fair trail, and sentencing if found guilty, and incarcerated in a Federal Prison a significant number of years.

    I apologize @Northern Rivers , this turned out to be a bit lengthier than I intended. Anarchists made me do it (~grin~)

    hoyt, may the Farce be with you . . .

    . . . and tell that little runt Yoda to get his act together and to see a skin specialist.

    I'm just guessing that you are standing close behind the actions of Berry, Hillary, the treasonous Kerry. 0 was the most unconstitutional leader we have ever had. Aside from not being an American citizen when we was going to college as an Indonesian exchange student. Even if he had been naturalized after that he still would not have been eligible to be president.

    It was 0 that killed an American citizen in Yemen because of the person's words. That was un-Constitutional for damn sure. 0 has been on the side of just about every enemy we have in the world.

    Giving Iran $150B and then admitting that Americans would surely die because of that actions was treason; 0 and Kerry should be arrested and jailed for a short period..

    Our society is festooned with pot holes of ignorance and stupidity that can't be filled with logic and reason no matter how many facts we dump into the liberal voids that are spreading across America.

    @Midgardian

    Your mention of General Nathan Bedford Forest brings to mind the myths surrounding him that I detest. But rather than contribute more to thread drift here, I'm going to start a new thread in the "History" discussion group here at TPF. It is titled "Myths About General Nathan Bedford Forrest" and is at Myths About General Nathan Bedford Forrest

    I'd be interested in your take on this (and I'd be "honored" too if I were compared to him.)

    TIA
