Yeah, trikes are popular all over.

But that's not even a trike. Look carefully...the rear wheel is there where the factory put it. Those things are OUTRIGGERS.

    FOUR wheels.

    Ahh...it's off-topic, but I think the trike-model is...oversold.

First, as the Can-Am reverse-trike has shown us, it removes a lot of the thrill of motorcycling. You don't flow with a three-wheeler; you hang on, desperately clinging. As with a snowmobile. As well, Harley-style trikes with one wheel in front, are notoriously tippy in turns. No leaning, except the wrong way as you roll over.

I get the elderly/balance thingy; but the thing is, a moving bicycle or motorcycle essentially balances itself. The wheels act as gyroscopes. Only at stops do you need to do some balancing.

My answer to all the (other) old-fart riders is, get a smaller motorcycle. One you can balance without breaking your foot. One you can pick up without a jack.

It may not be so fast on the open road, but it's often as much fun to ride a slow bike fast, as a fast bike at posted limits.
