Temperature changes precede the parallel changes in CO2 by several hundred years or more (Mudelsee, 2001; Monnin et al., 2001; Caillon et al., 2003; Siegenthaler et al., 2005)

This physical event is a function of the (inverse) solubility of carbon dioxide in water, relative to the temperature of that water.
Whereas salts increase in solubility with increasing temperature, gases decrease in solubility because they occupy greater volume, and therefore tend to coalesce and bubble up, like a beer poured into a glass as it warms up.
So, as earth has slowly warmed a bit, carbon dioxide has slowly degased a bit, contrary to the "ocean acidification" claims.
The ocean (pH 8.3) is 18.2 times as alkaline as pure water, which by the way is NOT acidic, by definition. It is neutral (pH 7.0 on logarithmic scale).

As Margaret Thatcher put it: global warming is proving to be “a marvelous excuse for international socialism.”

I made the mistake of changing the basis of the Keeling Curve from 310 ppmv to 0 in earlier renditions of adding the dominant greenhouse gas, water vapor, which constitutes ~1.5% or 15,000 parts per million.

Anyone can readily see that in the context of 15,000 ppmv, 1.36 ppm ANNUAL INCREASE in carbon dioxide is insignificant.
And yet the "environmental" wackos have gone over the cliff for just 1.36 ppm per year, calling it "catastrophic" and worse.

So here is the original Scary Graph, formerly called the Keeling Curve, which is supposed to scare the crap out of you
and make you want to "DO SOMETHING":

Here it is just adding water vapor, at 15,000 parts per million:

The graph above is reality. It reflects carbon dioxide plus water vapor, THE dominant greenhouse gas at 1.5% of the atmosphere, or 15,000 parts per million.

Now the climate change socialists, who want to control your lives, tell you what to do, transfer trillions to third world crapholes, and continue pulling down billions for *research* which conveniently (wink, nudge) always *confirms* what they want it to confirm, gave you this Scary Graph, called the Keeling Curve:

It conveniently leaves out water vapor, and has a base of 310 instead of 0.
Fraud in the name of *science*. Disgraceful.
