At the moment...I'm fuming over this recent treatment of Justice Kavanaugh. Beto said he's guilty of rape...so did Harris...but...the retractions are all over the NYT...it was another specious hit piece. President Trump is quite right. Sue.

Here I am...couple of hours, later...frustrated as all getout trying to find the right chord to fit into a rather daunting solo intro. I'm down to playing up to it...and "trying something". It's not in A...it's not in D. Minor 9ths...nope...11ths...13ths...nah. Now...I'm just playing up to the spot...trying something...and seeing if I wince at the sound or not. I gave up wincing for the night.

I'm in good company, at least!

    Think out of the box.

    Think: chord over chord.

For example: on the guitar, play F# maj, like a bar chord, but now lift the two high strings B and E so they're open. You now have Emaj over F#maj, and that's a killer chord ain't it?

It's not exactly "a" chord, but... you know the rest.

Not crazy at all. Nine years ago, I was working a long-term temp job out of Huron, South Dakota...I had five days off and thought I'd ride to Rushmore. I went up there by bike, too - since the employer was paying my lodging and per-diem. Had a GS boxer, also, at the time. Long story why I sold that.

But...I didn't know about Sturgis. If I had, I'd have not worried - it was a week away. What I didn't count on, was the army-ant movement of all the devotees. I mean, the roads were LOUSY with bikers...most of the riders were old-timers; the young guys were trailering out their machines. But in the few gas stations along U.S. 10, where the temperature was 107...I found all these silver-haired, ponytailed riders alternately rubbing their backsides and taking buckets of water and dumping them on each other.

When I check back in, tonight, I'm gonna move this to a separate thread. It's getting distracting from the OP's purpose.

Well folks, I made it. Yup, went under the knife this morning. Left out at 5:00, and we were home by 10:30.
Got what's called a excisional biopsy on my right breast. (Last one was a needle biopsy.) The doc's not sure what it is, but pretty optimistic that it's not cancerous. I'm dying to look at it, but it's got this kinda tape over gauze that'll stay on for a shower, and I don't want to mess that up.
Yeah, it's plenty sore enough. I'm also mighty stoned.

Thanks. Been pretty nerve wracking. Gotta say, though, the morning - before leaving, I mean - went by quicker than expected.

I'm glad for your good news! Hope the answer you get back is a big fat negative. (and enjoy the high).
