No Labels says it will field a 2024 presidential ticket

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The third-party presidential movement No Labels decided Friday to field a presidential candidate in the 2024 election after months of weighing the launch of a so-called “unity ticket” and discussions with several prospects.

Delegates voted in favor of moving forward during an online convention of 800 of them from every state, said Mike Rawlings, a former Dallas mayor who is affiliated with No Labels.

No Labels was not expected to name its presidential and vice presidential nominees Friday. Instead, the group will announce its candidate selection process on March 14, Rawlings said in a statement.

They are going to try to field a "bipartisan" ticket designed to pull more votes from Trump than Biden.

Take all your feel good polls of Trump beating Biden and throw them away.

Trump, Biden, NoLabels, RFK Jr., Jill Stein & Cornel West ... this is mind boggling.

Noise makers trying to make it THEIR mission to decide who is POTUS, not the US citizens. They sound just like the Democrats and RINO's.

No Labels is poised to offer an independent ticket for president and vice president if Democrats and Republicans “select unreasonably divisive presidential nominees.”

The Trump campaign is gonna have to pound Biden hard on being a divider. They have the Red Philly speech and the SOTU as ammo. Those idiots in the middle hate that shit.

It's an old trick for one side to support the more 'extreme' candidates of the other side, or to put up people who will pull votes away from their opponents. Some smart Democrats supported some loonies in the last Republican primaries in 2020, got them selected, and then the candidates they supported went on to lose to Democrats. We (patriots) should do the same thing. [So, my fellow right-wingers, send a few dollars to this good man: https://www.cornelwest2024.com/donate ]

What the US really needs is an electoral system that allows for different political tendencies to get a chance to see how much popular support they have, without jeapordizing the chances of people who are on their side, but not in full agreement with them.

We need a system where the outright nationalize-everything socialists, the Libertarians, the people who believe George Soros sits down for breakfast with Hilary Clinton and Satan every morning and plots to kidnap more children into sexual slavery, the people who believe giving every African-American five million dollars and not requiring them to be able to read or write or add up before graduating high school, while defunding and disarming the police ... all should have a chance to bring their ideas before the voters.

There is no perfect electoral system ( see "Arrow's Impossibility Theorem, here: Arrow's impossibility theorem - Wikipedia ), but one that would be better than what we have now would be a two-stage election: Stage one, all parties and groups put up candidates, so you can vote for the one you really truly love. Then, unless one wins an outright majority in the first stage, only the top two winners go on to the second stage a week or two later.

It's not perfect, but it would allow people a chance to vote for their true choice, without risking 'splitting the vote'.

As it is, supporters of the Libertarian Party, the Constitution Party, the American Party, the Reform Party, on the Right ... and the Socialist Workers Party, the Greens, Cornel West, on the Left -- will always face the choice of running candidates who will broadcast their particular message, and thus risk 'splitting the vote', or biting the bullet and voting for a candidate the don't really like.

Something like this would make our imperfect democracy less imperfect. Of course the two major parties like things the way they are, but we can hope that maverick candidates, like Trump on the Right and Sanders on the Left ... might take up this idea.

If there was ever an election for a third party or independent to make some real headway it's this one where you have two main candidates that are very unpopular and divisive.

Interesting, but I don't know what that translates to since Manchin decided he wasn't interested.

This organization is as fake as Ronna McDaniel's face. The founder's bio is all about being a Democrat.

Nancy Jacobson (born November 9, 1962[1]) is an American political activist. A former fundraiser for the Democratic Party, she later became founder and CEO of the centrist organization No Labels.[2]

Jacobson founded No Labels in 2010 with the stated goal of promoting bipartisanship.[9] The organization has put forth ideas that it claims will "put problem solving above politics",[10] and purports to support centrist, moderate social and economic policies.

Why is the West in decline?
The Left's globalist totalitarian cult of secular humanism and socialism.

Yes, that's a shame. Trump is more to my taste than Joe Manchin, but at least I'd consider Manchin if he ran. He's a markedly different kind of man from any of today's pack of America-hating Democrat wokesters.

At any rate, if this 'no labels' outfit is serious, it will be interesting to see what comes out of "Door #3".

Afterthought: the worse our democracy 'experiment' becomes, the more I really see the benefits of a parliamentary system! And I mean the variety of system where when a majority of people in the government get puking sick of the guy in charge they have a 'no confidence' vote and throw his ass out, without having to wait YEARS to do it....

i will say that Trump is not the smooth talker and joker like Regan was .. who could insult an opponent while still smiling at them.
