MCCONNELL STEPPING DOWN as Senate GOP LEADER in NOVEMBER

Based on his speech so far I'm lead to believe he may retire from the Senate altogether but I'm unsure if that's his intention. His speech is somber enough where I wonder how much he really has left. He's 82 years old!

Correction - no he's just retiring from the leader position. This man seems to want to die in his office. Either way, new Senate Majority (or minority leader ) incoming based on how the 2024 elections shake out.

I don't think he wants to endorse Trump. At the same time he's 82 years old. I think his comments may highlight Biden's dilemma. If Mitch can't work as the Majority Leader at 82 then Joe Biden, since he is much worse off health and cognitive ability wise, certainly cannot be President at 81. Trump isn't much better at 77 but age seems like more of a liability with Biden. We need younger leaders. The GOP needs a JFK moment to reset that clock.

Yeah he and roona need to give the country a break and hit the door as soon as possible, the only reason for them to stay is to do the same thing as they did before and stick it to the people like they did in the 22 midterms.

It seems him and many others these days can't let go of the allure of power and money that comes with it thus hang on as long as they can which means die in their office room or at their house to croak in which isn't what the founding Father envisioned.
