Passion of the Christ 2 getting close to release

Here's a trailer, it shows as posted Dec. 24, I'm still not sure of exact release dates but I'm thinking a trailer indicates within 6 months or so

"Hello all".......I would have said "good evening ladies and gents", but you all know what you are.......Moe Howard
(what I'm sure was an inside joke to all the Hollyweird actors in the scene at the time, as Hollywood was Weinstein before Weinsten ever was)

i never saw the first one. ive been taught that even depicting His likeness is blasphemy. so after that digests, setting the depictions in context becomes extremely critical as to wether you just shat upon Him or not. i hope Mel was as respectfull as he could be. were not talking about some rughead here. but Jesus Christ Himself.

( maybe someone could start a Life of Brian counter thread. i feel Monty Python stretched the boundries there while still keeping their dignity. )

I didn't see the first one, and I won't see this one.

    I will watch it.

I LOVED the series they had on History (or Netflix, or somewhere else) about the Disciples. Based mostly on the Book of Acts, but, pretty much stopped shortly after Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus....)

Probably going to cover the period between the Crucifixion and Christ's Ascension.

(I'm sure you will be the first in line to see this!)

You didn't miss anything. The beating of Jesus was over the top.......too much. Any human being would have died 10 times over.

He wasn't a human being, He was the Son of God in human form.

Which begs the question did he really feel any of the beatings? How do you beat a "God"?
