    Dogs are amazingly aware to their human's mood swings and react to show them more than usual affection. It's hard for someone who's never had a dog to understand just what comfort they bring into your life.

    Some are so smart they will tell you when it's time to take your medication -- and not.

    Check it out with the local VA office. There are lots of sourced for vets with PTSD.

    Give it a try. It certainly can't hurt.
