Ports are loud. Especially indoors.

And they generally mean an aftermarket barrel which for USP experts are 400 bucks plus.


Plus they work better with higher pressure cartridges.

They work though I have a Glock 22c it’s the factory ported Glock full-size in .40. It’s loud and bright at night, but that darn thing has less recoil then a 9mm my follow up shots with it are stupid fast.

I also have a underlug weight for my CZ SP-01, it’s actually a head knocker/glass breaker but do to its weight it ends up performing the same function. Not that there is much recoil anyways with a full-size steel 9mm, but less then zero with it on. I’ll try to take a pic with it, it’s a CZ factory device but not very common. One of the nice things about it is that it still allows you to mount a light on it while it is attached to the gun.
