I checked out the reviews and even though there are over 37,000 and rated 4 1/2 stars, they have a bunch of one stars at the top that are old reviews. It appears Amazon is putting the ones at the top that have the most "helpful" hits on them. We have had both of ours over 2 years and zero problems.

One thing I did to direct the pressure relief valve so it doesn't shoot straight up, is go to the hardware store and got an 1 1/4" PVC elbow and use it to direct the steam anywhere she wants it.

    Yeah, same here.

Over the last two years I completely changed my diet, and exercise routine. I walk or hike 5-10 miles a day or more weather permitting. Knocked carbs kinda off my menu, not totally but mostly. Stick to proteins and fats don't scare me. Eggs are a big part of my diet, yolks only with fried eggs, boiled yolks bleh.

Lost 90lbs, hovering around 200 now (I'm 6ft), want to get to 180, my BMI normal but it's winter, I bulk up a little now so the rest happens after the thaw.

I instapot eggs a lot, they come out perfect every time. Peel easy, takes like minutes.

Put eggs in cold water in pan, enough to cover the eggs
Add teaspoon of salt to water
    Bring to boil
Remove from heat, leaving eggs in the water as it cools down
Allow water in pan to return to room temperature
Your eggs will be done and you will thank me for this.
That's how I've done it for years. You don't have to leave the eggs in the water until the water is completely cooled. Ten minutes will be enough.

My mother in law boils them to death then wonders why the yolk is green (or is it blue?) around the outside.

That's how I do it..except for the salt. Perfect every time.
