There are progressives and there are Marxist, internationalist socialist, Stalinist, Leninist, Maoist and even anarchist who hide today behind the progressive label.

True progressives believe that the ills of society can be fixed by using science.
During America's progressive era late 19th Century early 20th Century most progressives were socialist...nationalist socialist and they despised internationalist socialist.

During America's progressive era, progressives were found in both the Democratic party and the Republican party.

Woodward Wilson was a progressive and Theodore Roosevelt was a progressive.
