I made no mention of my preference. Read what I write not what you imagine.

Your firearms are also returned if the ERPO is not upheld.

In both cases it will only be done with the order of a judge.

so you now are trying to twist calling a not guilty verdict into a “court order”

No, I'm not twisting anything, we hadn't even gotten as far as trials, simply how police react to the call itself and how firearms are returned absent the case going to trial.

You are trying to mislead what goes on in the law. And let’s not glaze over the fact that you have been trying to change the subject from the original topic of some conspiracy theory about internet databases. I know you hoped I wouldn’t notice what you did, but that’s not going to happen.

I'm not misleading anyone nor have I changed the topic at any point. I simply replied in kind and appropriately to what was already being discussed.

You in fact are the one that brought it up.

This is the only misdemeanor where you can lose your gun rights. And I’m strongly against all of these. But it’s not happening without court orders, and unfortunately this is the law that’s been passed. It’s not just law enforcement confiscating weapons on a whim as you tried to imply.

The real problem though is domestic violence is a very tough issue. I have a huge problem with these laws because I do think they are a violation of the constitution. But the other side is I have a huge problem with wives being beaten and killed too. It’s kind of like sex offenders registries. A good idea that works correctly most of the time. But our system is supposed to be in favor of letting 100 guilty people go just to make sure we don’t punish one innocent person.
