Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

I always heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so what's with persecuting white people who wear black face? The African-Americans should feel honored that others want to imitate them.
Regarding my avatar: I am the one on your left as you view it

    But they don't.

    So what's the conclusion?

Maybe they don't like themselves very much?

Japanese girls who want to be Black:

Yeah, apparently there's a whole bunch of weird things in Japan. This apparently is one of the weird subcultures that exist over there.
There's not a lot of Black people in Japan, so it's seen as something unique and exotic. Most of what they know about Black people comes from American media and rap videos.

This weird subculture is called "B-style".

One of the young girls in that video: "Black people look so great and stylish."
