Tonight’s elections: Third District | Ninth District
Few races are as convoluted as the one in North Carolina’s Ninth Congressional District, which is — 10 months after Election Day 2018 — the last vote of the midterm elections. Polls show an extremely close race between State Senator Dan Bishop, a Republican, and the entrepreneur Dan McCready, a Democrat. Read more

Very good news, I was just watching the news this morning and a Dem was saying how this will be a preview of America turning away from Trump in 2020. As usual they were wrong.

One the one hand it's good news. But there's always another hand & that is that there were so many STUPID American's who voted for a socialist agenda. That scares me.

Every congressional seat won by a Republican matters but the leftmedia will downplay the GOP wins as meaningless because the Republican's margin of victory was less than a landslide.

Factually, in this era of sharply divided politics, few congressional candidates outside of a few long-held Democrat or Republican districts are going have huge margins of victory.

The media's insistence that these two races are a bellwether for Trump's chances in 2020 is somewhat overblown. The presidential race brings out far more voters than special congressional races and voters are likely to be more dedicated to one party's candidate than they are in what amounts to a local (congressional) election.

That being stated, I'm delighted that Republicans Dr. Greg Murphy and Dan Bishop were victorious in their races.

Murphy was expected to win. Bishop was the big question mark. Looks like he won too
