The reason the Brits took Madagascar was what seems more likely, making the island a naval base for U-boats and to facilitate technology and raw materials trade between Japan and Germany. I think Type IXs and at least some I-boats had the range to get there, and then they could have operated in the Indian Ocean and threatened shipping going to and from India, Australia, and New Zealand.

all germany wouldve needed to defeat everyone was to turn off their transmitters on their subs and have HQ radio phony orders. the tankers to the subs couldve stayed on a set schedule in the antarctic waters and moved north to refuel at set times. they had the leg up on the allies in technology but lost it through
cyber security.

History is always revisionist. Hitler approved this plan and it is documented n my link. It appears to me that you can't accept new information, even if it is true.
