    Long run or short run?
I dont think an edible spoon will increase TP usage.
    Sounds like some good fiber.

I figured it will cost the owner more than plastic and as usual, pass the cost on the customer.

I don't know. @Garden House Queen can tell you how good of a shopper I am(aka tight) . My family was in the grocery business for 73 years.

I dont buy plastic spoons or forks , but I do buy paper plates and those red plastic cups (use seldom). Plastic is expensive.
Even buying in bulk at Sam's club club or Wal-Mart, a medium grade paper plate cost 3-4 cents each. Red cups, bought in quantity are 5 cents each. They cost much more if you buy smaller quantities or smaller packs. Using those things are like walking around, throwing away money.

I put the plastic cups in the dishwasher or hand wash them.
I also do a lot of canning. I have plenty of empty mason jars handy.
I drink coffee or make tea every morning in pint or quart mason jars.

I pick up an extra jar or two a year when i buy or inherit some shine.

If I called someone frugal down here, one of two things would happen.

Either I would get a pass for mispronouncing the surname Fruge', or get my ass whipped.

Everyone knew the glasses in detergent weren't really free.

I'll tell you though, those jelly glasses were one of the best marketing ideas ever invented!
A family would go through jelly faster than detergent, and even if you bought different flavors of the same brand , you could accumulate a set of matching glasses quickly at no extra cost.
They were much thicker than the thin, crap glasses we buy today.

You needed a bottle opener to initially remove the cap. Try that today and you'll probably break the glass.

I should start a thread called, Po "Poor" People Memories.
