San Francisco board rebrands 'convicted felon' as 'justice-involved person,' sanitizes other crime lingo
    by Lukas Mikelionis

Crime-ridden San Francisco has introduced new sanitized language for criminals, getting rid of words such as “offender” and “addict” while changing “convicted felon” to “justice-involved person.”

The Board of Supervisors adopted the changes last month even as the city reels from one of the highest crime rates in the country and staggering inequality exemplified by pervasive homelessness alongside Silicon Valley wealth.
    San Francisco liberal insanity:

    1) A “convicted felon” is now a “justice involved individual”. And “victims” are also to be known as “justice involved individuals”. That’s a disgusting moral equivalency. There is no longer a distinction between criminal and victim. Liberal logic: both were involved in the same incident, so why address them differently?

    2) “Juvenile delinquents” are now “young people impacted by the juvenile justice system”.

    3) “Drug addicts” are now “people with a history of substance use”. As Tucker Carlson pointed out, a diabetic who uses insulin can also be called “a person with a history of substance use”. So we have no way to differentiate between a heroin addict and a diabetic.

This is “newspeak”, which George Orwell predicted in Nineteen Eighty-Four.

yes. it is...the similarities between orwells 1984 and todays democrat/prog party are remarkable, almost as if the democrats were using it as some social engineering manual,,instead of the warning intended...

I don't see how it changes anything. If I am hiring for a position and someone says they were "justice-involved" I know that they are an ex-con.

They're trying to whitewash the term "illegal alien" from the text of laws too.

We are blessed to have an English language with the richest vocabulary in the world, where we have words with precise meanings for almost everything. Take any "thing", and you can find a word that fits that "thing" precisely and communicates precisely so another human being knows exactly what you are talking about.

Ever notice how, whenever Democrats redefine words, they make the words less precise, to the point that nobody can know what they are exactly referring to?

As William Jefferson Clinton infamously said "It depends on what the meaning of 'is' is."

That's an interesting point to point out.
