Sarah Sanders doesn't often mop the White House Press Corp Floor...but when she does, she uses Jim Acosta.

There is no American free press. They're bought and paid for.

I had 2 cats with one large litterbox for years. You do have to scoop it daily. I used a mixture of the corn-cob stuff and cheap clay. Just enough corncob to make it clumpy. Total change once every 1 1/2-2 weeks or so.

These cats have two food and water dishes which they share. They groom each other and exhibit no conflict. They even share a litter box.

Their box was bought at PetSmart and is standard plastic. I found a throwaway cardboard box tonight and brought it home, lined it with a plastic bag, filled it with litter, and let the cats "find" it.

They have not used the new box yet. I looked up "ideal number of litter boxes for multiple cats and found that for two cats, I should have three boxes.

My question is if this recommendation is sound, or is some "cat whisperer" making money for Petco and PetSmart by guilting cat owners into having lots of litter boxes?
The recommendation is absolutely sound. Cats are territorial. Cats who grow up in close quarters, like your home, around other cats, deal with it, and sometimes even enjoy each other...but when it comes to elimination, they are...animal.

The first one into the fresh litter box marks it for that period. The other one, smells it and knows...it's invading. So it looks for its own place...like under your bed?

Two boxes, solve the problem. My mother had two cats, towards the end...and two boxes, both covered. Little problem until she introduced a greyhound into the mix. The greyhound was no problem, but those cats were in constant terror of that monster.

But that's another story. Eventually they'll find the litter boxes...it's semi-instinctive.

Quit "po shaming" me One toilet, four rooms.

My cat is indoor / outdoor. In two years, he has shat in the house twice...in the bathtub, him is a good kitty!

My cats always go outdoors when they want.

One cat was about ten feet away from the box and moved to another room when I started scooping it. It seemed like she was giving me privacy. Do cats think that people are using the box when we clean it?
