I haven't been a member of a forum that uses VB in many years. When i 1st joined the web site i had to refresh my memory on how to navigate the features. When i tried to put an attachment in a post, it drove me nuts. I saw the file manager which i haven't seen in years & i thought of VB so i scrolled to the bottom of the page to confirm.

VB used to be a solid/stable software, but, like many businesses over time cut corners & eventually it's a bad product. I recall some years ago reading in many forums people demanding a refund from VB.

I've been a member of forums that used the latest version of VB & it is crap. Just want to give a heads up if the web site is considering upgrading to the latest VB version, no one will happy.

If the web site is seriously considering some type of upgrade, i would suggest XenForo. I don't know if switching vendors if there would be data loss & maybe all members will be newbies.
I have many opinions on this, none appreciated, and frankly I gave up after a long time. I only visit every few days and that's really only to read posts and not respond. I lurk more than ever now. That's up to to the Admins.

My advice? Don't hold your breath on it.

I was active on GT (Glock Talk) when they ditched VB for a so-called upgrade in software. It was mess! Long story.... many 'old timers' were not happy.

I'm pretty sure it would be a real headache for mods/admins. And, FWI: I do not see any problems with VB here and never have.

We have all the bells and whistles I could get and I like the format. People are used to it. I wouldn't change it unless we had to.

Has anyone lost their post ? I mean like while posting it

LIKE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE ! ? So satisfying after the third time.

My was a bit about forum ware with ACTIVE

... or Activity TAB at the top that is never coloured or highlighted for newbs or older folks because the scripty kids cobbled it together and seemed to over look a tiny thing like user details , just a minor oversite.

    example AT: http://www.unexplained-mysteries

Yes that forum is embedded in to the main site so NO EXTRA LOGIN , a rarity.

Quickly ... something here anyway, a time thing, this will do:

" Asknot what cat can do for you but what you can do for cat. " 8D
