If you don't practice...you'll sound like it. And, if you don't tune, your life will sound like it, too. Listen to the intervals. That's where it all hides from you.....

Yep...but "unsealed" has many categories. Some have big signs saying "4wd and outback suspensions recommended". Anyone in this country that wants to really "do the big lap" needs an offroad/outback suspension on their van. I'm looking at this one: (196-1R) It's like a Gold Coast condo. My puller is an Isuzu D-max ute....

If I had anything that nice, I would worry about it being stolen. Is there some way to lock the wheels or some other means of security?

Uh @tom heres how roads work..

    Asphalt or Concrete is PAVED...

Gravel is also considered "paved" although not in the same way cause it gravel..

In the National Forests you will find "unimproved" or "Logging" roads and buiser ones are often "gravel" and maintained to facilitate heavy use

Now ya get out West in the Desert aint necessarily a road rather a "trail"..

And out West ya better have 4wheel drive, Full Tank of gas, & PLENTY of WATER cause when your dumbass breaks down and cell phones dont work anymore its goona be 2/3 days walk to the resemblence of Civilization..

And by that I mean maybe a State Highway where maybe somebody pick ya up or the Highway Patrol passes once every 24 hours or so..

I can vouch for that here in the rural northern Nevada. Get too far out of town and you lose cell service not to mention water, gas and shade are a premium. Been all over the high desert in 4x4's and ATV's and you best be prepared. It can be daunting. In fact, The Loneliest Road in America starts right outside our small town....

Reminds me of a story. A guy was driving through the wilds of New England, passes a farmer, and backs up. "Does this road lead to _____?" he asks the farmer. "Yep," says the farmer. He drives on a way and remembering the ways of New Englanders, he backs up again and asks, " Can I get through it in this vehicle?" "Nop" says the farmer.

There's a road that winds over the Border Ranges (NSW & QLD near the coast) that is like that. it dumps directly into the Gold Coast metro area and connects the cane fields. You can't even see the sky. 90' fern trees...sopping wet. We call it The Hobbit Road. When I'm pensive and lost to myself...I take it to get home.....
