What is there to consider? End it.

We are being invaded. Using the "claiming asylum" reason is merely the latest gimmick to game the system due to our stupid immigration laws. The radical left has orchestrated the entire fiasco. Those unaccompanied minors that started flooding in during Obama's reign was due to a deal he made, under the table, with the then leader of Mexico. Mexico had previously been controlling their southern border like we could only dream of doing. It has all been a leftist (Democrat) plan. And it has been working splendidly. This radical assault on our sovereignty calls for a radical approach in shutting it down. Make it so, Donald. Make it so.

Give the democrats a choice between refugees, illegals, and border security. Let them show the citizens of the US who they value more.

I'd like to see all immigration, legal and illegal limited to a maximum of 250k annually for a decade and that all who enter legally do so based on merit first, along with spouses and kids of American servicemen/women and children/spouses of diplomatic and intel officers stationed abroad.

The first rule of immigration should be "For the benefit of the citizens of the US and second, the benefit to the country as a whole".

We owe nothing to the rest of the world and by as early as 2030 it's projected we'll start seeing an ever increasing number of low wage jobs disappearing to technological and mechanical advancements.

If we don't severely curb new immigrants, legal and illegal competing for the remaining jobs the social welfare system will collapse and we'll likely be plunged into a depression during the decade following.

2040 could easily look like 1936 or worse if we don't and it will only go downhill from there for at least another couple of decades.

The Trump administration is reportedly considering capping the number of refugees admitted into the U.S. in 2020 at zero, in what would in effect be a shutdown of the United States's refugee program.

Insiders familiar with ongoing discussions between security officials and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services told Politico that one plan being considered is to set the number of refugees admitted to the U.S at zero.

A more modest plan reportedly proposed by Homeland Security officials would set the cap between 3,000 and 10,000, however. Sources told Politico that the official recommendation by agencies would be submitted by the beginning of August.

Refugee advocates told Politico that such a change would mark a major blow to groups helping resettle refugees and throw off thousands of people who are in the middle of the refugee application process.

The refugee program is different than the asylum program, which the Trump administration has also sought to place new caps on. Asylum-seekers make their applications once they've arrived in the U.S., while refugees apply for protection while still outside the country.

Reports of the possible refugee program changes come after the Justice Department and Homeland Security Department announced plans this week to end asylum protections for most Central American migrants.

The new rule would make any asylum-seeker who has passed through another country before reaching the U.S. ineligible for asylum. Under the rule, those who have been the victims of trafficking are granted exceptions.

Note Refugee and Asylum Immigration is NOT a Constitutional obligation. It was simply a long term policy of being a good neighbor. And when your neighbors have no respect and dump their people on our Republic it is time to stop the flow of foolishness.

We are not the Worlds Police and not the Worlds Welfare Wagon either!
It is not going to happen.

Trump has done nothing about limiting immigration. Despite running on the issue, getting elected on the issue, promising he would deal with it in the first 100 days, he bailed every time he had the chance to really cut it.

And all the while the Democrats are flooding the nation with illegals so they can run up their vote tally.

Trump is likely to lose in 2020 because all these illegals are going to vote.

We can close immigration, but politically it's not a winner at this time.

I think it is a winner. Trump won because of 2 issues: he was not as bad as Hilary, and by claiming he would end illegal immigration.

And more importantly politically, every illegal alien is a potential vote for the Democrats. In 2016, the Democrats didnt have their election fraud machine ready. In 2018, we saw the prototypes of their fraud - ballot harvesting, "counting" so-called votes well past the deadline, early voting, and illegals voting. In 2020, millions of illegals are primed to vote and the Democrats are primed to get them to the polls or to have them fill out absentee or early ballots.

If Trump does not immediately crack down on the illegals, he is probably going to lose in 2020. And once the Democrats win, they will adjust the system so they never lose again.
