190 feet. That must be a misprint. Do they make tankers that small?

Iran is trying to provoke us. Trump will tighten the sanctions instead.

The Mullahs are a bunch of fags who suck camel dicks.

Have ships escorted by military vessels when cruising near Iran.

Have them fire on any Iranian ships getting too close.

Iran is carrying provocative actions as well as acts of piracy.

Well, first off....unless you are in a slow, rubber raft (Which is, ironically, pretty much the Iranian Navy....), way out side continental waters, a tanker just isn't that big of a threat. ALL it can do is run over you, but, even then....you pretty much have to just SIT there, idle in the water, as those behemoths can't turn for shit.

Now, IF this was, somehow, someway, an IRANIAN owned ship, then, let the International courts take care of it. But, my bet is that it isn't Iranian owned. Even if it is, the OIL it is carrying, belongs to other parties, so, if the Mullahs do not compensate for that, then, they are guilty of piracy.

Again, I say, we let the International Community do whatever they are going to do. IF they want the US to take action, then, we do so, AT THEIR REQUEST. (Which means: NO FUCKING BITCHING ABOUT IT, when the news media shows a few Iranian cities burning.......)

Of course, the US NAVY is not even needed for this. Trust me. The British or French, could face off the Iranian Navy ON THEIR OWN. (As could the Indians, Japanese, and, perhaps even the Israelis and Italians. (Maybe even the Saudi's, but, if they get involved, then POOF!, there goes the Middle East!)

it might be owned by KBR. other than that speculation, no one has claimed its ownership. or management for that matter.

    Whatever happened to "Merchant Marines?"

I remember when we had all the piracy off Somalia, and, I always wondered about that.

Three or Four well armed snipers on one of these ships could probably take these rubber raft assault boats out, in a matter of minutes. (More likely, though, after a these "Pirates" see the heads of their buddies explode, they decide to turn around and go back to port.....)

Iranís state TV claims marine elements of the Revolutionary Guard Corps seized a ďforeign vesselĒ with 12 crew Thursday morning on accusations of smuggling oil.

The move comes as tensions mount between the United States and Iran over the unravelling of the Obama-negotiated JPOA nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.

The report alleges the tanker was moving fuel from Iranian smugglers to foreign customers and was intercepted south of Iranís Larak Island in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The TV report didnít identify the tanker or say which country the crew were from but it comes after an Iranian supertanker, carrying 2.1 million barrels of light crude oil, was seized with the help of British Royal Marines earlier this month off Gibraltar, a British overseas territory near the southern coast of Spain.

An oil tanker based in the United Arab Emirates traveling through the Strait of Hormuz drifted off into Iranian waters and stopped transmitting its location over two days ago.

It would be a shame if Iranian ships started disappearing.

Trump should ban any towels from being imported into Iran. That should turk the Mullahs.
