Oil Tanker Goes Missing In Strait Of Hormuz, Iran Suspected

With all the satellites, drones , aircraft and naval ships in the region, even shipboard gps , given the heightened concern that Iran is up to something bad, how the hell did anything as large as a golfball go missing?

    July 17, 2019 by Will

A Panamanian-flagged oil tanker based in the United Arab Emirates went missing on Saturday While traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.

The 190-foot tanker Riah was last tracked heading towards Iranian territorial waters before it stopped transmitting over two days ago. Although it is unclear what became of the vessel, although Iran is a top suspect, considering they threatened retribution for the seizure of an Iranian supertanker carrying 2.1 million barrels of crude oil to Syria.

Multiple attacks against oil tankers and commercial vessels near the Strait of Hormuz in recent weeks have been pinned on Iran. Due to the high level of sophistication necessary to carry out the sabotage operations primitive entities like pirates have been ruled out.

Iran has recently threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz because of the US decision to uphold sanctions for major Iranian oil importers. Meanwhile, the US has been building up strike forces in the region, hinting at possible direct action against Iran.

The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.

It's too big to hide. All concerned governments know exactly where it is. If it sent a distress signal, that is known too. There is no mystery about it.

I am 100% convinced that members of military intelligence know EXACTLY where that tanker is. Hell, they probably watched, as the Iranians pirated it.

And THAT is what this is: PIRACY.

One of the oldest international crimes there is.

I honestly believe we "allowed" this to happen, in order to force the rest of the world to choose a side.

Then, I suspect that Trump will allow the Navy to react, ONLY after ASKED by a number of foreign powers.

Trump may not always have the "best hand," but....he has absolutely NO problem with calling our a bluff.

That has been his style since the 80's. Sometimes, it has hurt him, but, most of the time, he comes out on top.

SELDOM has anyone "bluffed" Trump into playing, or, not playing his hand.

    Sol Star: He's not mad.
Al Swearengen: He's got a mean way of being happy.

    Iran seizes "fuel-smuggling" tanker.

Right after UAE warns about one of its tanker "disappearing" from radar screens, Rian announces it "seized" a tanker.

Iran says it seized a "foreign tanker" and its 12 crew on Sunday for smuggling fuel in the Gulf.State television quoted Iran's Revolutionary Guards as saying the ship had been smuggling one million litres (220,000 gallons) of fuel.
It is not yet confirmed if it is the UAE-based Riah tanker that stopped transmitting its position as it sailed through the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday.

Iran said earlier this week it had come to the aid of a broken-down tanker.

Without naming the Riah, it said it had towed the foreign tanker into Iranian waters for repairs after "receiving a request for assistance" on Sunday. It made no mention of seizing the ship.

then tell me who, at the time of its tow, owned it.
according to maritime law, IT was a pirate IF it made any hostile move.
