I knew a guy, typical for when he was younger, worked in the meat dept/deli counter, and any time a woman would ask where something was, he/they'd send her down the freezer aisle just to see her come up the next one where what she really wanted was.

Turds, but juveniley funny in it's way.

So far no one has said they did. I was told they reflected poorly on me as a person, that is all. I have said that if anyone is offended by them, I will remove them. I think that is fair.

I know. But I bring a list. I rarely, if ever deviate from it. SOMEtimes, I'll be reminded of something we need that I forGOT to put on the list, but me? I'm the 'prudent shopper'. What's funny is, most women I run into the store get more aggravated with the stock-moving, making them more likely to shop elsewhere, than likely to "impulse buy."

Stores would be wiser to look out for their "valued" customers.

It works, that is why Walmart and others do it. I am the same, I make a list and get what is on the list and get out.

It is like a grocery store I used to shop at in Ohio, PW Market (not Piggly Wiggly) I loved them and then all of a sudden one day they got rid of all the hand baskets. I sort of knew one of the managers there and when I asked him about it he said that is was because a person pushing a cart bought 20% more items than one carrying a basket. Makes sense.

I'm giggling at all the male confessions in this thread!
    @Retiredat50

You can make me a sammich ANYTIME ...

For a few years I couldn't properly grocery shop for my family ( three starving children, ya know!) and a friend of mine turned me on to Amazon.
I used to use Amazon's monthly recurring items (can't recall the name at this moment) because it was bulk canned or boxed items. One can never have enough Mac & Cheese or noodle bowls on hand. Along with a seperate order from Prime Market for other stuff.

I'd send my sons to the grocery store for fresh items and they did very well!

Several years ago Walmart came to town.
They were just beginning to use their new 'neighborhood' model.
Any time I shop there I've never had an issue with finding the products that I want.

    I'm a late night shopper.
    I hate crowds.
I hate feeling like I'm being 'pushed' around by other shoppers.

I also shop Safeway because I like their cuts of meat. Not to mention their selection of wines

TOTAL THREAD HIJACK -- but related, sort of.

Every time I try to go back to @Retiredat50's original post that I quoted in post #59 via the "View Post" feature, I get sent here:

Did hear the one about the constipated Polish patient? - Page 2

A thread from 2014. What caught my eye immediately, is that it's a discussion w/fyrenza. Yeah, threw me a bit.

Would anyone here mind trying to use that "View Post" feature in my post #59, and see where it sends you?
Either I have a problem, R-at-50 has a problem, or this board has a problem.
(As y'all may recall, I tried quoting him last night, and it wouldn't work.)
