Bah, I don't care who went on strike, I am still getting my stuff.

Maybe the ones that went on strike should move to China and work for Nike, lol!

You could also call that being a responsible consumer.

I purchased the new video game "Day's Gone". Regular price was $59, Prime was marked down to $39 PLUS I had $7 in unused Prime money or whatever they call it so I got it for $32!! AND I get free 3 day shipping also.

I also purchased some Fusion razor blades which were $18 for 8 blades! Also 2 day shipping free.

While I was in the shopping mood, I purchased air filters for my AC in the house. I need two sizes and bought a 6 pack of good filters for a really cheap price.

And 3-way light bulbs. Damn things are hard to find. Amazon has them all day long for sale.

I made out like a Joo in a Junkyard.

"2 day shipping" when you buy on Tuesday evening is really like 3 day shipping when you get your stuff on Thursday to me. But in reality, 2 day shipping I guess is what I got.

White privilege 'hood I take it?

Yeah, me too. Here in Sun City Center, it's nothing but q-tips and golf carts. Not a BLM member to be found.

But, I struggled to find anything to buy.

Same here. I looked around on a couple of pages & just gave up. Funny, when I was a kid & the Sears Xmas catalog came out I found something I NEEDED on every page. When I was in my 20's & broke I could have given you a list of 10 things off the top of my head that I "needed". Now days I've actually needed one thing in the past 6 months & it was a certain kind of coffee. Our local Sam's stopped stocking it & we had to order it from them, came in yesterday.

About 20 years ago we stopped buying Xmas presents for ourselves. We would wait until after Xmas & pick up the things we wanted when they were on sale. Then we progressed to just buying what we wanted when we saw it on sale. Now we just buy what we want anytime we want it & oddly we buy less now.

The 2 exceptions going on right now. 1. I would love a gazebo for our back yard. I could buy it today BUT I don't want to put it together nor do I want the pain of having to find someone to pay to put it together for me. I guess I'm just getting real lazy. 2. I've got new car fever & I've had it for about 6 months. I'm passed the "gotta have it stage" & slowly reason is taking over. I want one with all the new fangled electronic stuff they have on them now. But do I need it, not really. Our car is in great shape & has low miles on it. I think that I'm slowly getting over the "fever". Oh & it doesn't help that I'm taking a trip in a couple of days & my wife suggested that on the way back I stop & look at what I kind of want in a dealership about an hour from here. I doubt that I will do it.

But, I struggled to find anything to buy. It was a case of, don't need it, don't want it, already have it.

Just more proof that capitalism is a great thing. Where else could an uneducated guy like me have a house with a pool, a car and have to search for hours to find anything I want to buy on a shopping site like Amazon, which has everything.

    Gotta love America!

In the end, I bought a set of stainless steel measuring cups and spoons, a hedge trimmer, and some candy. None of which I actually need, but the measuring cups/spoons are a nice looking, and the hedge trimmer is a modest upgrade to what I now have.

Is this white privilege, or could a black person or Hispanic person also work 2 or 3 jobs most of their life, save money and invest and never be in debt and have the same result?
    Saving.

Blacks and Marxists don't understand it...so they've fixed it so it's impossible. The Federal Reserve, which was created to be the CARETAKER to the dollar...is now DELIBERATELY ENGINEERING INFLATION. While QE-Zero Interest rates, also engineered by the Fed, make returns on saved money, minimal.

The stock market...sure. That's in a mother-of-all-bubbles. Companies that never have produced profit since their IPOs, are trading in huge figures. AND, to get money OUT of the stock market, you have to pay commissions - and capital-gains taxes.

The Elites do not WANT any saving. They see it as a way to increase dependency and thus blind loyalty. But because they themselves are financially ignorant, they cannot imagine what an economy without a supply of saved capital - individual savings - looks like.

I can. It looks like any third-world economy with worthless money.

Yes, America has been good. But those times are just about over. I have my Railroad Retirement - which, BTW, I paid for; Railroad Retirement deductions are MUCH more than antiSocial inSecurity. But now I'm in the Fixed-Income category. With this inflation monster being grown by the Elites, it will not be long that my pension won't be enough to live on.

I have other stuff to use to cover; but scheming and stretching was not part of my plans. But then...it happens to just about every generation. WWII; Vietnam; the economic mess of the Carter years. Which will be not-as-bad as what's coming.

And what do you do when you catch one?

The police aren't interested. They're far more interested in a white person writing the N-word then they are about actual crime by actual cretins, many of which have just slipped in.

Right down in Miami...look at that prosecutor who SAT on Epstein's file. Trafficking in little girls is no big deal when you're a Friend of Bubba. He was the same one who 12 years ago, was trying to get Limbaugh prosecuted for having Viagra not-in-a prescription bottle. As a consolation-prize for losing that one, he was eager to send it to the mediuh.
