    Things Are Getting Tight In China

    Parts of their economy teeter on deflation. Trade war ainít as easy as they thought it would be. They responded to sanctions by devaluing their currency (to maintain price advantages) but that merely imported poverty to China.


    Food (particularly pork) is getting expensive for the average Chinese.

    Keep dreaming. How long have these sanctions (from both sides) been going on for? It’s hurting the US economy equally. No one comes out of a trade war laughing.

    When this whole thing kicked off the projection was that it would affect 1% of our GDP & affect 20% of China's GDP. So far it looks like that has been pretty much the case.
    My feelings are that they probably felt that we would give in & bend because that's what we have always done in the past with every country. I think (just a guess) that they figured that we would hold out for 3 to 5 months & then fold. It looks like they were wrong.

    My feelings are that we had to bring this to a head & now we the time to do it.

    They were and are hoping that their best buddies the Democrats would succeed in getting rid of Trump . They don't seem to realise there's 65 million more Trumps waiting in line .

    I figured the Trade War would not be as easy for them as the left business media tried to claim. Problem is we never even tried before and China was very confident in their position!

    True that both economies will suffer, to varying degrees.

    But, there is a BIG difference between the two:

    The US Economy is strong, stable, and based on real worth.

    The Chinese Economy is strong, but, largely built of smoke and mirrors.
