Both sides of the aisle have been paid well for their Chinese loyalties...but it don't matter. Trump changed everything.

The Progressives have become full blown NAZIs, to thwart a Hitler that doesn't exist...since that is the only way they can express, and self justify, their fascism.

No one but Trump would have ever stood up to the Chi-comms.

For once I agree with PC. These are two VERY different systems. China is neither a democracy nor a free society. They have only liberties - including, now, the liberty to buy and sell and "own" property.

They also have Social Credit Scores which determine who may enjoy modern Western perks, like air transport.

Point I'm making is, this, our government, still, to some degree, rises and falls with the voters' pleasure. NOT China. If the next Grand Poobah over there orders them all back into communes, or into brigades for nuclear war...they will do it. A few will get shot and a few more run over by tanks, but on the whole they will do it.

We can't hurt them. Those who might feel the pain, have no say-so

    Pain is not the object.

    Incapacity is the object.

Yes, we can hurt them. Very much so.

We probably don't want to though, at least not yet.

The facts are these. The trade war wasnít even Mr. Trumpís idea, it was suggested by Peter Navarro, the trade secretary who opinioned that no one would stand up against US sanctions. They did in a tit for tat, which hurts the US just as much. You canít be a strong economy $23 tr in debt through raising a debt ceiling and keep printing money. What you see is a blip as a $1.3 tr was pumped into the economy through tax cuts and that wonít last long.

This suggestion that China is built on smoke and mirrors has been doing the rounds for decades but their GDP never falls below 6%. It starts to hurt? The Chinese devalue their Yuan and carry on. Meanwhile theyíre dumping the dollar and US bonds and buying gold and that's apart from the estimated $1.12 tr debt they own.

Chinese GDP Ė this isnít smoke and mirrors. China became a capitalist economy and the US embraced socialist policies for eight years. It would be strange if it wasnít like this.

True, but if you’re referring to China it’s using economics to prosper, not conquests by force.

It’s capitalism. The penny finally dropped and they’re racing ahead.
