I was always juggling the pills and trying to use sprays to help offset it.

The whole time I did this, watching my mother suffer, I thought, why do druggies and criminals force us to punish the people in true need. I don't care if someone uses meth and dies, their choice, don't punish good people for an idiots choice!

I won't even get into the fights I had with her doctor over her anxiety medication. He was worried that his monthly output would flag him with the government. Her brain was in a constant state of fight or flight because she was not getting enough oxygen, so she needed the anxiety medication to keep her calm. Just thinking about it makes me mad.

Thankfully, I was able to get her on Hospice and they cut through all that crap in one day, and she had what she needed. They went in and took her records from her doctor, who refused to cooperate, and told him he no longer had a say in anything.

Nothing but respect for Hospice. They are now one of the charities (I am not sure if they are a charity or not but I give them money) I donate to twice a year.
All too familliar with lack of pain drugs. I even had to resort to "street drugs" to get her some albuterol for her nebulizer. She has COPD and for some damn reason her nebulizer meds are not automatically refilled. Leaving messages at the Health department for refills is infuriating.

But, that only lasts about a half hour to an hour, and then you feel terrible. I mean, really terrible, and for hours. Add in that your penis will stop working... No thanks.
Coke sucks on the comedown and hang time. Meth last WAY longer and the comedown was nothing. Now those damn crank bugs, whole nother story!

My mother was initially diagnosed with COPD, then they changed it to pulmonary fibrosis. For some reason albuterol made her feel worse and she quit using the nebulizer. She was on a new drug for pulmonary fibrosis that cost about 10k a month, but I found a grant that covered it. Sadly, it did not help at all.

Crank is not even close to cocaine though in how good it makes you feel. I remember back in the day when crank was cut with gasoline for some reason, nasty stuff (I think it was referred to as pink biker crank, lol).

Now, when I was young and working multiple jobs I did buy something called Bennies, they were in pill form and kind of like a softer, gentler meth. Most people still crushed them up and snorted them, but I just took them in their pill form.

In general yes. But I reached some very unique and daresay, insightful states of mind after staying awake 4+ days at a time on meth. It's all a crap shoot and who knows WTF is in any of it.

Done enough of both to know it's death wish. I'll stick to my beer and weed, on a blue moon.

If I ever wanted the heavy stuff again, I'd go pick some shrooms, you know exactly what's in every dose.

At the Army leadership academy, in 1962, we had to wake up early, train all day, then have a meal and move out and train for the next 24 hours. We were up all that one night. We were not offered any pills to help us stay awake. We could have coffee though as I recall.
“Appearances to the mind are of four kinds. Things either are what they appear to be; or they neither are, nor appear to be; or they are, and do not appear to be; or they are not, and yet appear to be. Rightly to aim in all these cases is the wise man's task.” Epictetus

Democrats in congress are like having the Fox construct the hen house then installing the security system.

One night is hard enough. I could not imagine 2+ nights without some stimulant drugs.

I have always wanted to try shrooms. I think they have been legalized in California now.

I don't know, when I was younger doing a couple of days without sleep was not that hard.
