Googles Chrome Web Browser Has Become Spy Software

I dont doubt it. Every time I turn around I find another popup trying to get me to switch to Chrome as my primary browser. Ill stick to Firefox thank you with reluctantly using Edge because its the only way I can access Gab.
Googles Chrome is essentially spy software according to Washington Post tech columnist Geoffrey Fowler, who spent a week analyzing the popular browser and concluded that it looks a lot like surveillance software.

When was Chrome not the premier spyware of Google? Just as M$ continues to pack in ever more (and ever improved versions) of corporate spyware/malware in each successive reinteration of its OS, so too has Google 'improved' Chrome.

pretty sure you can install another browser if you can access the playstore for android apps. I like the dolphin browser. you can also make the new browser the default browser. i don't know the exact details.

Probably the only choice you have, is FF. Which is not much choice.

You probably cannot remove it, but that doesn't mean you have to use it. Keep in mind, I haven't used a googlemachine, so I don't know exactly how the OS works.

My advice is to do what I'm doing now: Older machine (netbook that had W7 on it) and loaded it with Linux. I'm running Ubuntu Linux, whith is non-tech friendly although it has compromises. Cost is cheap - this machine is now considered completely obsolete; I bought it for $100 five years ago.

For a browser other than Firefox, I'm using Chromium - the de-googlized open-source form of Chrome. Google got an agreement with Microsquish that they wouldn't allow Chromium to run in Windoze versions. So, if you have a branded OS, including the Fruit Company's, you can only use Chrome. With Linux you can and should get open-source Chromium.

Interestingly, the Brave browser, launched by the Mozilla head who got sacked for not being down with the faggots...ALL the OSs, INCLUDING Ubuntu, put up "updates" to make it not work. To make it crash or keep it from opening. It worked good when I first got it, but then, it stopped working.

Brave was supposed to offer privacy from spyware and data collection. Can't have that - the tech faggots are having a PAR-TAY with the money they make selling our information.

I use Opera as browser, during set up there is an option to make it default. And DuckDuckGo or Startpage as search engines.
As these are little guys, I contribute a small sum every time I get an update.
