and then what about the resurrection of believers that came out of their graves and into the town to visit their families. Jesus was the first fruit of the resurrected.

This is the hymn that the Classical school second graders performed (that my g'children attend) at their spring presentation.

There were early Christian groups who denied the crucifixion of Jesus, such as the first century scholar Basilides and his followers, the Basilidians. They believed that Jesus was saved from the crucifixion and that Simon of Cyrene was crucified in his place. The beliefs of Basilides matter because he was living very close to the time of the disciples, and there are even traditions that he got these teachings from Peter.

The Cerinthians were among the first of the early Christian communities, denied that Jesus was crucified...The Carpocratians, another early Christian sect, believed that it was not Jesus who was crucified, but another in his place.
Proof by assertion: informal fallacy, its repetition may be cited as evidence of its truth, in a variant of the appeal to authority or appeal to belief fallacies. It's a form of brainwashing.

There are some who believe a pedophile flew a donkey to heaven and begged historically famous Jews to help him start a false religion.

those two death sentances are not a walk in the park. rope was too valuable to hang people, and massive bleedouts made those types too short.

Yes, I've posted this before, and Trinn locked me out of my own thread..

But when the Roman soldier pierced Jesus' side..and all of a sudden the ground cracked open, that was for a reason.

The Ark of the Covenant had been hidden around 4 centuries prior under Golgotha. God cracked the ground open so Jesus' blood could hit the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant, thereby completing his sacrifice to man. He sacrificed his Son for us, and his son was a willing sacrifice.

I do not take that lightly.

Question: "Why did Jesus say, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'"

    Answer:....
It is difficult to understand in what sense Jesus was “forsaken” by God. It is certain that God approved His work. It is certain that Jesus was innocent. He had done nothing to forfeit the favor of God. As God’s own Son—holy, harmless, undefiled, and obedient—God still loved Him. In none of these senses could God have forsaken Him.
Yes, as was said in the first sentence, "It is difficult to understand in what sense Jesus was 'forsaken' by God." But to then say, "God still loved Him" is a stretch because God allowed it to happen.

The prophet Isaiah says this about the Messiah: “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5).

I agree with this: "....we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted." Otherwise, the rest of what Isaiah said is enough to make one's head spin because he never makes a clear statement as to why God allowed it to happen.

You need to open your heart hence your mind. This action was decided on and worked out from the beginning of time. God is omniscient. He knows all. He knew that a sinless sacrifice was necessary for our redemption .. so we don't automatically suffer eternally the consequences of our sin. A one time perfect sacrifice. Because in the eternal, incomprehensible to you,
universe, blood is the necessary ingredient for atonement. It could either be ours... Or God's. This was the christs job. It was no trick. Or coersion. If there is fault or blame, it belongs to us. This was done, yes, even for you, in spite of your seeming ungratefulness.
