    Unanswered Prayer

My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me. - Jesus Christ

Jesus made promises He doesn't keep. He said ask anything in my name and you shall have it.
If He didn't mean it, why did He say it!

I have asked repeatedly and been denied, not for myself but for my loved one.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

Friends have told me He has not. They are wrong.

How could I work on evolution ten years and learn nothing from it? It does seem that the level of knowledge about evolution is remarkably shallow. We know it ought not be taught in high school, and that’s all we know about it.” (Dr. Colin Patterson, senior Paleontologist at the British Museum of Natural History)

I understand what you are saying. I certainly have felt that way too.
Maybe it's your attitude or wording. Jesus asked if maybe he wouldn't have do die on the cross (Matthew 26:39) but then he added not my will but thine. Sometimes with our limited view of things, we think we know how something must turn out. But God knows the whole plan, so His will is always better than ours.

Sometimes if we ask for strength, wisdom, courage, and hope when dealing with a difficult situation, God can work through our prayer to make the best possible outcome.

And the answer must be in God's time, not ours. Patience is so hard to come by when dealing with life's urgent situations. But God always teaches us something in all of our trials. Always.

Sending my prayers that you won't lose hope and that God's blessings to you will be courage, strength, wisdom, and patience.

Bad things happen to good people. Being mad at God is something born of frustration. I'm sorry you're in agony over this.

    What Jen said.

As a technical person, your prayer requests may be a bit too detailed to realize that the prayers were answered. I know that I had that problem. You are looking for a specific outcome to match a very specific request. Perhaps, this isn't the case but I am speaking from my own experience.
It takes a FAMILY to raise a child--Not Hitlery Klinton's Socialist, Anti-Family, Nanny-State...I mean, "Village".

Islam is a religion of violence and terror as practiced by the Islamofascists. The Muslims that do speak out against terror are then terrorized by the Islamofascists and are ignored by the Lap Dog Media.

Sometimes we have to step back from our specifically-detailed request so that we can see God's answer and to allow Him to answer in His way. This is easier to say/ write than it is to do.

I'm glad you broached the subject...
While Jesus was suffering unbearable pain, he was asking God, the Father why he had forsaken him; of course he didn't. No question that Jesus was getting uncomfortable by the minute with a crown of thorns, a wound to his side, and nails piercing his body.

But when it comes to unanswered prayer, who knows God's thoughts on the subject? His reasoning is always deeper than our reasoning.
    . . . . . . . . .

TOTOH, many people don't pray correctly. "Jesus said no one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6)
IOW, no one can approach God except through prayer; "Dear Father in heaven, I ask these things in Jesus' name...Amen."

If Hollywood is an example of proper prayer in their movies, we are in trouble...

I do not know why. God does though.

My personal experience is that I have had prayer answered, and I have not as well. It could be that a no is the answer, but not the one I expected.

@ChemEngineer. The thing is that you cannot go to God and tell Him to answer a prayer for you in exactly the way you want it answered.

I have wanted that several times in my life and those answers were denied. But I can look back over my life and see that God's way was better than mine would have been. I know this sounds like a platitude, but I have checked it out in my own life. I could give you specific examples and these were not small requests. They were huge - the life of my child (who died), a marriage to the father of my baby (who would have taken my child away from me), the loss of my husband's job for reasons that weren't his fault.

There are other huge things. Every one of those instances turned out amazingly perfect in spite of the pain associated with them. Looking back, my life wouldn't be as good as it is now had God answered in my way.

So I trust Him, and show Him the situation and ask Him to please fix it in HIS way and His time, and walk me through it no matter how hard or long that walk had to be.

No matter how bad it is now, walk it with God and it will be okay. I promise. More importantly........God promises and you quoted that.

Sarah Sanders doesn't often mop the White House Press Corp Floor...but when she does, she uses Jim Acosta.

There is no American free press. They're bought and paid for.

The Devil whispered in Trump's ear and said, 'You're not strong enough to withstand the storm". President Trump whispered back, "i am The Storm"!

    and Epstein didn't kill himself.
