Yes, he gave me a script for a small device that includes strips and a finger poker with extra small needles. It does not hurt at all and I have the depth set to the deepest penetration cause I am a tough sum bitch from turning wrenches and crap for 45 years.

Its called a One Touch Ultra 2. It has a spring loaded needle. Its over before you know it. Any tough sum bitch could handle it. If you can grab second and third gear in that Dodge and not miss a shift, you are a tough one too.

I saw that also. I think the device is attached to you some how. Then you scan that.

Unless it’s changed, I think you have to have a pretty severe case to get that scanner because the sensor is considered an implant.

I don't have high sugar but since my two bowel shutdowns, my doc told me my sugar intake had to be cut way back. So I have cut back on my sugar loving. Now if I could just find a way to handle my addiction to chocolate..

I am sure you are correct. The "implant" sticks out of your skin and you scan that.

Sorry, but sticking my finger does not hurt one iota.

I found it and did some quick research. That sensor has a needle on it. Looks like the patient can change it on their own, but it Does have to pierce the flesh. I would say getting insurance to cover it would take a serious case that requires almost constant monitoring.

Well, It ain't the pain that bothers me. I also turned wrenches, used air hammers etc on cars for 40+ years but still don't care for seeing my own blood. I would deal with it if I had to.
