Military Logistics System Not Ready for War With China or Russia

Defense Science Board warns military supply system 'decayed' and needs rapid upgrading

A very lengthy article that basically points out the fact that we simply have no way to get everything we need to a combat zone in a timely and efficient manner.
Not enough ships to carry equipment and material.
Not enough up-to-date transport planes to get personnel and light equipment there, along with a shortage of pilots, crew, and maintenance.
We donít have the required infrastructure and Iím willing to bet the command and support organizations are not up to snuff.
The strategic American military system for moving troops, weapons, and supplies over long distances has decayed significantly and needs rapid upgrading to be ready for any future war with China or Russia, according to a report by the Pentagon's Defense Science Board.
A special task force on survivable logistics evaluated the military's current airlift, sealift, and prepositioned equipment and supplies and found major problems with supporting forces during a "high-end" conflict.

The purpose of the military is to demonstrate the practicality of innovative and progressive social theories for the betterment of the Democrat Party.

The only way China can make war with us, is if we go to them. We could easily just make it an air war and they would have to settle for that.

Not important unless the massive Chinese Army has suddenly learned how to walk on water. Their military transport system for troops is almost non-existent, highly vulnerable to our Navy and Air Force. Leave it to Trump - who are the Chinese going to go to war with? India, which won two border wars with the old USSR? Japan - Phillippines - Guam (USA)? Gotta get there by air or over water. Trump, in slamming the brakes on North Korea's nuclear and military threat in the region proved the fact that China couldn't make a move on anybody. By 2020, you very well could see a reunited Korea, and besides, China chose trade with America over confrontation. That is the magic of President Trump, who has the money from the $800 billion Omnibus bill available to him to modernize our military. Showing some age spots, but nobody wants to tackle it now, or later........- Stan -

My question is this: Just who in the world does military logistics better than the US, and when (since 1861) have they ever done so?

One thing we can count on is that every element of government finds the need for more money. It is natural to a bureaucracy. We need to train bureaucrats how to do with less. We should find a way to have fewer bureaucrats.
