    Prince Charles On Our Drought

Yep...the place is being ravaged by a drought. This is a very cyclical thing and horrible at the moment.

Prince Charles...and The Queen...have lent some kind words...

Prince Charles sends out letters to drought-stricken Aussie farmers

But...Pauline Hanson has a very good answer to our droughts. It's called, "The Bradfield Scheme". It was devised by the same guy that built our Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is a HUGE project...but...we can do it.

If you don't practice...you'll sound like it. And, if you don't tune, your life will sound like it, too. Listen to the intervals. That's where it all hides from you.....

The coastal fringes are always fine. I live in a sopping wet area. It's the inland that's dry. This is normal...and cyclical. Once we can irrigate the interior...it'll be like Iowa/Nebraska...

It will never pass your environmental establishment. Guaranteed some equivalent of the dwarf snidely snail will be discovered that will go extinct because of the increased water supply.
You and your nation are in my prayers. I don't like to comment on O.P.s leaders, but I question the benefit of having Prince Charles musings on any subject. Long Live Queen Elizabeth

According to the Objections section of the Wikipedia article, Bradfield's scheme is based on faulty data. One big problem is evaporation. All the water would be lost to evaporation and none delivered. Possibly Musk's Bore Company could construct qanats that would overcome this problem.

Is the cycle caused by the El Niño-Southern Oscillation?

Once you start irrigating the interior, the Kook Left will find your own Snail Darter or Delta Smelt as the cover to stop you.

The Left NEEDS crises and food shortages and panic. And they're on the move; and only a true crisis will force them back under their rocks. True crisis, such as WWII or global famine.

The money being given to Indonesia's earthquake victims (read, the Indonesian Military), should be spent on Aussie farmers who are suffering terribly from the drought. Foreign Aid makes me furious. Our farmers need the money, Aussies First!

@LadyMoonlight You hit the nail on the head with that one. The major parties have been eroding as ONE NATION gains ground. The media is full of questions...exactly about your own insight. Here's one...of dozens:

I voted for Pauline Hanson for the Senate last election, happy to say.
I decided I would never vote Liberal Party again while that rat Turnbull was Prime Minister after what he and the stick insect did to Tony Abbott. I think Tony Abbott is too decent a man to be a politician...at least he actually gets out and does stuff! Now that Turnbull is gone, I would have voted Liberal again if Dutton had been made PM but I am not sure of Morrison.
I want a truly conservative party to come to the fore with people like Cory Bernadi (who I like a lot) and Australian Liberty Alliance who I also voted for at one stage. They need to join forces and take back Australia. Not going to happen though I am sorry to say.

Just to edit and add...what you posted is from the ABC....that's a surprise coming from the ALPBC! I have not read the article yet, but if it questions foreign aid and it is on the ALPBC I am truly surprised.
