That's also why I don't watch golf, thanks to Tiger Woods.
I used to play tennis a long time back. I was not a liberal. It's good exercise and fun. As far as Serena Williams, that judge is lucky she didn't pull him down from his seat and tennis racket rape him! Poor thing! A GD Jap beat her ape looking ass!

Serena Williams can lose without behaving like a diva brat, but sometimes she can’t, and when she loses her temper she is a fairly awful human being. Remember when she threatened to shove a tennis ball down a lineswoman’s ‘fucking throat’. How’s that for equality?

She tried to have it both ways too — bigging up her opponent, saying her row shouldn’t distract from Naomi Osaka’s achievement. Her admirers said that showed amazing grace. But it didn’t. Amazing grace would have been not to turn the whole match into a spectacle of her self-importance.

By the time the press conference came up Serena was positively intoxicated with her own sense of righteousness. ‘I’m here fighting for women’s rights and equality,’ she said. Er, no you are not, Serena. You are playing tennis and making a fool of yourself.

All of the above....seems to be pretty common for Modern American Professional Athletes.

And, perhaps, this is a reason that more and more people are "turned off," by these....games. (After all, even though ginormous amounts of money are at stake, they are STILL....just games...)

There was a time, when sports were clean of political statements, sore losers, hissy fits, arguing with (and, sometimes attacking) Referees, and the constant "talk" so many of these self described mensa agents throw at each other. (not to mention off the field/court Legal transgressions....)

Seriously, why would any loving parent, who wants their children to learn lessons of civility, dignity, and respect for others, ever take their child to a professional sports game?

But, as I have said, before: "Sports do not BUILD Character. They only REVEAL it."

As such, I find Serena Williams somewhat....lacking...in the "character" department. Great athlete? Absolutely. But, she is an incredibly poor loser, of questionable character.....

    Sol Star: He's not mad.
Al Swearengen: He's got a mean way of being happy.

Even when they act like this...they DO provide an example. What not to be like, in this instance.

" it may be time for this racquet-wielding Prima Donna to hang it up, rest on her laurels - which are many - and step away from the tennis courts before she ruins her hard-earned professional reputation. "

Laurels? Is that a subtle comment on the size of her butt? ;-)

But she was phenomenal for the past 15 years and she's getting old - it's tough to admit your best days are past and everyone handles that differently . I don't want to make excuses but McEnroe was 10 times worse and wasn't nearly as good as her .
Yeah, MacEnroe was a total dickweed about line calls and with him it was all the time. Maybe they could arrange an exhibition match between old John and Serena, and they could both take a fit after every serve. That would be funny as shit.
