I mostly use IE11--it is the last version of Internet Explorer to be made; Microsoft Edge has replaced it--but (for some reason) it will not allow me to reply properly in a couple of political forums (including this one).

So here, I switch to Google Chrome.

I also have Firefox; but it takes a while to load, so I really do not use it a great deal.

Yes, same here but I made Firefox open with google. The duck duck go does not have search results I like.
@Kris P Bacon , I have tried others (chrome IE etc) but I love my Firefox.

My computer just had the above come up, should I let it? Opinions? Thanks
i like chromes fast response, ease of use but ESPECIALLY its "voice search" option...[the little microphone icon by the search bar] i dont use it for serious political searches instead i use duckduckgo.

with chrome, instead of typing my search in the box, i just click on the icon, its comes up with "listening" and i say/speak what im looking for...

I use the latest Firefox available for XP. When Firefox first converted to what some referred to as the chrome look I tried Palemoon. Palemoon no longer has updates for my system.

I hesitate to even consider Google Chrome because, I don't trust Google.

In fact my distrust for Google is so great that I virtually stopped using IXQuick as a search engine when they converted to being StartPage with Google based searches even though StartPage claims not to track searches. I now use SearX.me for the majority of my searches and have found that it returns more results than StartPage's Google based search.

I doubt you can install Chrome with XP.

I have one of the Cupertino Fruit Company's boxes, with an older version of Oh Ess Ex. On that, Chrome told me that updates were available that I could not install, because my version of the OS wasn't supported anymore.

You would likely find the same thing. Planned Obsolescence is a FEATURE, and "free" software venders like Google are the enforcers.

I've used a lot of browsers and right now I'm using Chrome on an Asus C302 Chromebook.
My search engine is IxQuick which I think has been renamed StartPage. It works for me.
