Of course based on my conservative views I feel that nobody wants to put those stats out there because then they might not be able to fill those classes in schools.

It's not just in Canada. I'd be willing to bet this is a problem in most non-Third World countries.

Here in East Tennessee all the Conservative candidates are touting support for more trade and technical schools. The message is "People don't need a college degree as much as they need a good paying job". This is something I have been preaching for years. Not everyone is suited for a college education and we certainly don't need plumbers with degrees in hydraulics and fluid dynamics.

Did anyone watch the video? "I want to feel fulfilled." "I'm concerned about the economy and the lack of benefits." "Every job should allow people to build a life...." I think I can see the problem.

"If you work hard and have a post-secondary education you will get a good job." Okay, so whoever sold you on an English Lit degree or Women's Studies Degree or Surf Science degree proved once again that a sucker is born every minute.

Of course, I did love the woman who said we owe, owe mind you, good, fulfilling jobs, that they like, to the future generations.

Sorry, I need to go curl up in my safe space and cry for awhile. What ever happened to Canada?

I have a friend whose nephew couldn't find a job. Oh, sure, he had over a hundred jobs offers but not a single one met his expectations so he kept living off his parents.

My sister and brother in law foot the bill for my nephew to get a four year degree in business at Colorado State. Hoping he would come back and take over the family business, he didn’t want to do that and never did anything with his business degree. After about five years of doing nothing, he put himself through school and became a RN, he has a nice life and is doing well now. Just wishes he would not of wasted all that time and his parents money, simple because he had no plan for his future back then. Took business because he said it was simple and allowed him more party time.
