Good! Perhaps parents will keep their kids in the house at 3:AM! And this may save lives of young people who do not want to get killed by the cops.

So where are Al and Jackson?

Kid was armed and shot at someone.

Plenty of cop brutality examples that can make your blood boil, this isn't one of them.

The young man refused to drop the gun. I would have shot him too.

not only the size and character and former criminal record of this young man, don't you find the portrayal of the officers as....wussified? 'young, newly graduated, identified themselves to douse...what? are nyc cops no longer wearing distinguishable uniforms? and the officers were admitted to the hospital for ringing ears and trauma. What the hell kind of officers are they hiring? freakin' embarrassin'.

His "parents" need to be held for manslaughter, they are responsible for his death and the man he shot.

So where were the cops when they fired? Confined area? Alley perhaps? Can cause real damage.

Let's see.

He looks like he could be Obama's son.
He didn't do anything. It's all a setup.
The cops didn't stop and frisk him, which shows that the S&F program needs to be massively stepped up, maybe checkpoints every 50 feet.
The cops didn't hit any bystanders, which means they are training them a little better at the academy.
Economic conditions must be pretty tough if they only used one bullet. Previous engagements have used dozens, if not hundreds.

A case quite similar to this one actually provoked riots (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Mark_Duggan) in the UK two years ago. But I acknowledge stuff like this happens more frequently on the other side of the Atlantic.

As usual, the family is "furious". Oh, her sister's only son. Oh, it was a set-up. How about it was another fucking punk ass thug with a gun that took on "rookie" cops. Maybe if he wasn't out at 3 am, he would be alive. Maybe if his parents acted like parents, he would be alive. Hell, maybe if he wasn't living in fucking New York FUCKING City, he would be alive. But no, this is yet another example a dumbass getting stopped.
